The redesigned 2021 Acura TLX is a compelling choice for the compact luxury sedan segment, with its sleek design, superb handling, quick acceleration, an upscale cabin, and many cutting-edge technologies. The 2021 TLX also delivers high-level safety with its plethora of safety features. View here for an overview.

Advanced Airbag System in the 2021 Acura TLX

The 2021 Acura TLX has eight airbags, including Advanced Front Airbags, knee airbags for the driver and front passengers, front side airbags, and side curtain airbags. Acura utilized its “Safety Through Innovation” approach when creating the new passenger front airbag technology. It helps reduce severe brain trauma from angled front collisions by “cradling” a passenger’s head during impact. For conventional airbags, a passenger’s head often rotates during angled front collisions, which can lead to injury.

ACE™ Body Structure in the 2021 Acura TLX

The next-generation Advanced Compatibility Engineering™ (ACE™) body structure in the 2021 TLX is another important safety component of the TLX. Along with providing a protective shell with its high-strength design, the ACE™ Body Structure helps divert the force from collisions away from the vehicle occupants.
