How AcuraWatch™ Driver Assistance Features Work

Some of the AcuraWatch™ driver assistance features available on Acura vehicles use very advanced technology to protect drivers and their passengers. The Blind Spot Information System uses radar to notify drivers of the presence of another vehicle in the blind spot with an indicator light on each side mirror. The Rear Cross Traffic Monitor uses similar radar technology to alert drivers if a vehicle is passing behind you when you are backing up. Adaptive Cruise Control uses radar in the front of the vehicle to track the speed and distance of the vehicle ahead and maintain a set speed and distance with the vehicle ahead. This feature allows drivers to cruise with the natural flow of traffic.
