When Will the Acura MDX Prototype Be Available in Maui? 

The latest Acura MDX Prototype represents the fourth-generation of the Acura MDX luxury crossover and is expected to arrive at dealerships early in 2021 with the sport-tuned Acura MDX Type S set to arrive in Summer 2021. When it arrives at Acura of Maui, the Acura MDX Prototype will feature a bold exterior style that employs a three-dimensional Diamond Pentagon grille, JewelEye® LED headlights, Chicane™ LED taillights and a lower, wider platform with a double-wishbone front suspension. The Acura MDX Prototype interior will feature an Acura Precision Cockpit™ with digital instrumentation, premium luxury amenities and next-level technology.

Acura MDX Prototype Engine Options and Features 

Performance lies at the core of the Acura MDX Prototype with a pair of engine options headlined by a standard 290-horsepower 3.5-liter i-VTEC® V-6 engine that is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Acura SH-AWD® is available to upgrade performance at every turn. Performance-tuned Acura MDX Type S models will employ a 355-horsepower 3.0-liter Turbo V-6 engine that makes 354 pound-feet of torque and is married to the 10-speed automatic transmission.  

Highlight features of the Acura MDX Prototype promise to turn heads when you get behind the wheel. The Acura Precision Cockpit™ utilizes a customizable 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and an ultra-wide 12.3-inch True Touchpad Interface™ infotainment system that provides easy access to entertainment. AcuraWatch™ safety systems, Ebony and Light Orchid Milano leather upholstery, wood trim and an ultra-wide panoramic moonroof add to the Acura MDX experience.
